Construction Surety Bonding for the New & Emerging Contractor Wednesday, February 11, 2009, 1PM – 3PM University Center, 3901 Old Seward Hwy, Room 145 Anchorage, Alaska Presented by Chris Pobieglo with Business Insurance Associates, this two-hour workshop is designed for new and emerging construction contractors who have an interest in the basic concepts of contract surety bonds and what is involved in putting together a contract surety bond program. With more private construction project owners and general contractors requiring performance and payment bonds, the ability to access contract surety bonds can have a significant impact on your ability to generate revenue opportunities. This workshop will cover basic concepts of contract surety bonds, overview of accounting practices and financial statements, putting together quality surety submissions, business continuity planning, surety underwriting overview, contractor failure, and more.
